"Natural"

Over 45% of consumers buy foods or beverages because the product says #natural on the label.¹

What does “natural” or “made with natural ingredients” or “all natural” actually mean?

Good nutrition? ❌

Organic? ❌

No preservatives? ❌

No GMO’s? ❌

Nothing? ✅

The FDA (the 🇺🇸 government body that regulates food) does not have a definition for “natural.” Soooo 🥤labeled as “natural” is absolutely no different than a regular 🥤

When it comes to meat, 🐓, and eggs it’s slightly different because the @usdagov regulates this and they do have a definition for ‘natural’ ➡️ No artificial ingredients. No added colors. Minimally processed.²

So what can be labeled as “natural”⁉️ Chips, soda, lemon-flavored water, beef raised with hormones or antibiotics.

Bottom line, no need to spend extra 💵 for the fancy “natural” label.
