How many #probiotics do I need? 🧐A simple question with a not-so-simple answeršŸ‘©šŸ¼ā€šŸ”¬ā€¦there are many different types of probiotics 🦠, all of which can have different health benefits, and require you to eat different amounts.

•

I like to think of probiotics the same way we think of vitamins – simply because vitamin C and vitamin K both fall within the vitamin category, that does not mean they do the same thing in our bodies nor does your body need the same amount of each.

•

Probiotics are live #microorganisms – often called ā€˜the good bacteria’ 🦠 In order for a food or #supplement to accurately be labeled as containing probiotics, there should be the right amount of the right type (or strain) of probiotic to give you a health benefit. These ā€˜right’ amounts and types are determined by looking at the science….so what does that mean? If you are looking to take probiotics to help with digestive health, or immune health, or skin health talk to your doctor šŸ‘ØšŸ»ā€āš•ļø or dietitian šŸ‘©šŸ¼ā€šŸŒ¾ to figure out exactly what type of probiotic you should be looking. #NoshItFoodFacts

#ad#accountable Looking for a supplement? I love @Seed – not only do they offer a high quality supplement šŸ’Š that provides both probiotics and #prebiotics, but they are a company who is equally as nerdy šŸ˜Ž as I am, they care for the šŸŒ (check out their packaging), they’re leading the way in how companies should educate šŸ‘©šŸ¼ā€šŸ« their clients about science 🧪, plus their products offer the right type and the right amount of probiotics and prebiotics.
